Born and raised in Wiltshire. Educated at Winchester College from 1976 to 1981. Graduated with an honours degree in French from Goldsmiths’ College (London University) in 1986. Resided and worked in London from 1981 to 1997, studied Fine Art (Painting and Drawing/Life Classes) at Heatherley School of Art from 1992 to 1994; professional career as an artist (commissions, largely) starting around 1993, carrying over to tenancy of successive studios in France (Lyon, Paris) from 1998 to 2010.
