"I was born by the sea and have beach-combed all my life. In my work, I seek to celebrate how the natural elements; sea, sun, wind and time, fashion organic and man made material. I look for narrative in two or three random items. This enables me to share the activity. I do not carve, cut or colour, simply use my treasure "as found". In 1998, while showing my 4 year old son the magical chance of finding something rare and beautiful, I started constructing. Mainly birds, for they display every emotion. Goldmark Gallery have represented me since 2012, and is where my work can be viewed. My assemblages have found homes in eight countries."
