Sarah Pickstone is a London based, award winning artist whose work is chiefly concerned with drawing, painting and the structure of colour. She shows extensively both in the UK and internationally. Recent institutional projects include 'An Allegory of Painting' - a two part installation made for the Royal Academy of Arts in London 2018-19. Daunt Books published her anthology 'Park Notes' with contributions from Ali Smith and Marina Warner in 2014, to accompany the exhibition 'The Writers Series' at Roche Court, New Art Centre, Wiltshire.

Pickstone was a John Moores first prize winner in 2012 having also been a runner up in 2004. She studied at the Royal Academy Schools from where she won the Rome Scholarship in Painting - spending a year at the British School at Rome. Teaching at post graduate level is an important part of her practice - she holds positions at The Royal Drawing School and Turps Painting School, London.
