Venetia Syms (b. 1990, Belfast) trained in classical portraiture in Florence before continuing her studies in Falmouth and London. Her work has been shown across the UK, Amsterdam, and New York, and she appeared on Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year.

Now based in London, Venetia focuses on large-scale botanical paintings. Using thick oil impasto and a palette knife, she captures the vibrancy, texture, and vitality of flowers, celebrating the energy and colour of the natural world.
