Robert was born in Redcar, North Yorkshire and studied fine art at Ravensbourne and Goldsmiths colleges. He worked in London art galleries for several years before teaching art for 28 years and nowlives in Cardiff. He has had several solo shows in Cardiff and East Sussex. Group shows include JohnMoores 2020, numerous Royal West Of England Academy Opens, Discerning Eyes, Lynn Painter-Stainers,British Art Fairs, several Affordable Art Fairs, National Open Art Competition, Hunting Art Award, JerwoodDrawing Award etc. and other commercial galleries. His work is in various private and corporate collections, including Rosewood and Fairmont hotels, Unilever and Walt Disney Productions
