Chettle House is a lovely 18th-century manor surrounded by attractive gardens, set in a beautiful wooded area in the heart of the Cranborne Chase. It underwent major restoration in recent years and won a Georgian Group award in 2019. The work revived a magnificent house designed by Thomas Archer, an architect who took his inspiration from the Roman Baroque. The house is no longer open to the public.
