A 19th century mahogany, tulipwood and kingwood banded serpentine dressing chest, of small size, the quarter veneered top divided by stringing, centred with a large marquetry shell and with moulded edge, with four long graduated drawers, the fitted top drawer with satinwood pull-off and hinged covers, the fronts fitted with oval embossed cupid gilt brass plate handles flanked by stop fluted canted angles on shaped bifurcated bracket feet, 86.5cm (34in) high, 91.5cm (36in) wide, 51cm (20in) deep.
