A George III mahogany serpentine front chest

A George III mahogany serpentine front chest, the crossbanded top with inlaid oval panel and stringing and floral marquetry, above four long graduated drawers, the top drawer previously with divisions, fitted with oval gilt brass plate handles and flanked by faux fluted angles, on bracket feet and later wooden castors, 94cm (37in) high, 100cm (39.5in) wide, 57cm (22.25in) deep. Provenance: Purchased from Trevor, Mount Street, London, 1988.
