A large Victorian silver regimental ewer,
by The Barnards, London 1844,
baluster form, embossed scroll and rocaille decoration, leaf-capped scroll handle, later inscribed 'The CUBBAN CUP, 15th Regt M.N.I, won 11 October 1882 at Bangalore by Major A.S. Grove, Hav. Hussain Khan, Naigue Adam Khan, Naigue Abdool Guffoor, Naigue Davood Khan, Naigue Govindera Joolloo, L.Naigue Rhymon Khan and L.Naigue Syed Razza', on a raised shaped circular foot, height 45.3cm, approx. weight 66.5oz.

Provenance: The Groves of Castle Grove, Donegal. Then by descent to Commander Peter Campbell and then by descent to present owner.
