Three Victorian silver rowing prize oars,
by Richards and Brown, London 1862, 1863 and 1864,
won by Robert Raikes of Merton College, Oxford, plus a naval trophy oar, inscribed 'HMS Cornwall Wardroom Officers Gig China Fleet Regatta, Wei-Hai-Wei 1935', and a silver trophy canoe by Stokes & Ireland Ltd., Chester 1897, inscribed 'Naini Tal Regatta Sept 22 1899 Single Sculls', approx. weight 4oz. (5)

Robert Taunton Raikes - educated at Radley & Merton College, Oxford. He rowed in the 1865, 1866 winning Oxford Crew. He rowed at Henley in 1862, 67 & 68.
