A silver regimental cigarette box
A silver regimental cigarette box, 4th Queens Own Hussars,
by The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths company, London 1925,
plain rectangular form, the hinged cover with the regimental badge, length 12cm.
Provenance: a Private Collection of Regimental Silver.
The regiment was raised in 1685 and served in the Iberian Peninsula, the 1st Afghan War, and at Balaclava when it charged with the Light Brigade.
When this cigarette box was made the Regiment were in Lucknow, India.
