A Louis XV silver and vari-coloured gold snuff box,
maker's mark of Charles Le Bastier, Paris, 1760, with discharge mark of Eloy Brichard, also incused stamped '357',
rectangular form, the hinged cover chased with country scenes, the sides and base with foliate decoration, musical instruments and trophies, length 7.8cm, approx. weight 3.5oz.
