A George III silver epergne,
by Thomas Pitts, London 1764,
with a central pierced shaped oval basket, gadroon and pierced shell border, supported by a raised oval fluted body with a cast apron of flowers, with four scroll arms, (one marked), each supporting an unmarked basket of shaped square form, apparently unmarked, on four scroll legs terminating in pierced foliate scroll feet, height 27cm, approx. weight 79.8oz.
