A pair of George III silver Chinoiserie tea caddies,
by John Langford (II) and John Sebille, London 1763,
upright rectangular bombé form, embossed and chased with Oriental musicians and figures, scroll, shell and foliate decoration, the pull-off covers with embossed foliate and shell decoration, foliate finials, on four scroll feet,, engraved with an armorial, heights 13.5cm and 14.5cm, approx. weight 24.4oz. (2)
The arms are possibly that of Ogilvie and another.
