the terminals engraved 'R.M.C Jun Dept 1802 below a crown, the reverse of one stem inscribed 'Infirmary', approx. weight 4.8oz.

Provenance: A Private Collection of Military Silver.
The Royal Military College was founded in 1801 with a Senior Department at High Wycombe. In 1802 the Junior Department opened at West Street, Great Marlow. In 1812 the Junior Department moved to purpose-built accommodation at Sandhurst.
