baluster form, chased foliate decoration on a matted background, domed hinged cover with an acorn finial, leaf capped scroll handle with addition marks for William Bateman, with ivory insulators, on a raised circular foot, engraved with a crest, height 24.2cm, approx. weight 24.6oz.

The crest is that of Abadain, Gordon, Harty, McKenzie, Shaw and others.
