A George III cast silver-gilt snuff box,
by Edward Farrell, London 1824,
oblong form, the sides and base with swirl fluted and foliate decoration, the hinged cover with a raised scene of a meeting with a seated gentleman with another kneeling before him, and with four figures behind, in a classical setting with pillars behind, length 8.8cm, approx. weight 7.5oz.
