By Stanley Morris, a modern silver rose bowl,

Birmingham 1969,

oval form, spot-hammered decoration, the raised pull-off cover with pierced decoration, and with a oval finial, on an oval foot, length 24.6cm, approx. weight 32oz.

Stanley Morris was born in 1919. He was a student at the Birmingham School of Jewellery and Silversmithing and the Birmingham College of Arts and Crafts. He assisted Bernard Cuzner make the Olympic Torch Cuzner had designed for the 1948 London Olympics.

His commissions included work for the Salters' Company as well as Birmingham, Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
