An early Victorian Scottish silver agricultural bowl,

by Marshall & Sons, Edinburgh 1840,

circular form, embossed foliate decoration, one side engraved with a sheep, the other inscribed 'Obtained by J.J. Beresford, for the best two year old and the best three year old Rams, exhibited at the Ossory Cattle Show in Sept. 1839', diameter 14.5cm, approx. weight 9oz.
