A George III Irish silver dish ring
A George III Irish silver dish ring,

circular form, pierced and embossed with a windmill, a building, a lady and gentleman and a bird with foliate scroll decoration, with a cartouche engraved with a crest, and with a later blue plastic liner, diameter of base 20.5cm, approx. weight 13oz.
The crest is that of Purdon of Tinerana, co. Clare and Curristown, co. Westmeath, Ireland.
Provenance: from the family collections of Captain George Lionel Jameson OBE (1880-1961), Colonel Jocelyn Elliott Armstrong (1903-2001), and their descendants.
