A small collection of late 18th century gold-mounted walking canes,
comprising: an English one, marks worn, plain mount, tapering malacca shaft, plus an unmarked one, the terminal with an armorial, and a French one with engine-turned decoration and with a two colour foliate motif and border, malacca shafts. (3)
Provenance The Vyne, Sherborne St John, Basingstoke.
The arms are possibly that of Comberford or Marshall.
