A matched pair of silver beakers
A matched pair of silver beakers,
one unmarked, the other by The Barnards, London 1930, retailed by Wagland, Windsor,
tapering circular form, with an upper girdle, on a circular foot, the later one with an armorial and inscribed 'R.H Symonds-Tayler 1888-1889' and 'F. Kingsley Symonds-Tayler 1973-1977', heights 9.5 and 9.4cm, approx. weight 15.7cm.
The unmarked beaker was tested by the Assay Office on the 5 March 2003, and the result a 77% chance that the silver dated from 1600-1697.
