We are thrilled to present our Silver & Objects of Vertu sale taking place on Tuesday 14th July.
The sale features a range of wonderful collections starting with private collection of stamp boxes, postage & desk accessories (lots 121-155).
The standout items in the sale are, A cased pair of George II silver tea caddies and a sugar bowl and cover by Samuel Taylor, London (lot 372), A modern silver model of a submariner, after Gilbert Ledward (lot 375, our cover lot) as well as A late-19th century German silver nef (lot 280) which contains small details of sailors, cannons and other relevant nautical features.
Also included in the auction is a private collection of items, featuring great examples of plates, dishes and much more (lots 377-451), one item of note being a silver soup tureen with cover and ladle by Elkington and Co (lot 441) .
Elsewhere in the auction there are three separate lots of trophies which had each been awarded to F.W Stiles from 1929 onwards (lots 235, 236 and 237).
