unmarked, possibly Sri Lanka or Burma,
tapering circular form, chased scroll foliate decoration on matted and lattice-work background with applied figures and motifs, hinged cover with a bird finial, the handle formed as a snake, scratched thistle to the underside, height 14.6cm, approx. weight 17.4oz.
