A late-14th / early-15th Century French silver Slip-top spoon,
Orleans,
the fig-shaped bowl with restoration and repair, the reverse of the bowl with initialled F.D.R', the slip-top with a trace of gilding, length 15.7cm, approx. weight 1.1oz.
Provenance: A Private Collection, Edinburgh, circa 1952, and thence by descent to the current owner.
