possibly by David Whyte, London 1768,

baluster form, gadroon borders, beaded lip, domed hinged cover with a flame finial, wicker-bound scroll handle, engraved with an armorial, on a raised circular foot, height 28.5cm, approx. weight 22.4oz.

The arms are those of Tynte quartering Kemyeys, quartering Wharton.
