A George II silver kettle-on-stand,

by Peze Pilleau, London 1751,

inverted baluster form, chased foliate decoration, hinged carrying handle with wicker binding, engraved with an armorial, the stand of circular form, on three scroll legs on pad feet, with a burner, height 37cm, approx. weight 50oz.

The arms are those of Palmer quartering Hudson with Pepperell quartering another in pretence: for Sir Charles Thomas Palmer, 2nd Baronet of Wanlip (1771-1827) who married Hariott daughter of Sir William Pepperell Baronet in 1802.
