Sir Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury (?1563- 1612), principle Secretary to the King, silver counter, 1608, crowned shield of arms within Garter, ROBERT COM SALISBVR SVMM ANGLIÆ THESAVR, rev., crest, Six arrows in saltire tied with a ribbon under a helmet, SERO SED SERIO, 28mm (MI 189/6). Nearly extremely fine, toned and rare.
