Henry Frederick

Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales (1594-1612), silver counter from a set, by or from the workshop of Simon de Passe, c. 1639, in imitation of engraving, half-length armoured bust right, holding lance, HENRICVS PRINCEPS WALLIÆ, rev., the Prince of Wales's plumes within crowned Garter, decorative border, 25mm (cf MI 380/282 - the set). Very fine and rare.
