Charles I
Charles I, silver memorial locket, the top engraved with two arrows piercing a heart, opening to reveal the small left-facing Thomas Rawlins portrait of Charles I; the base engraved with a weeping eye, 23 x 19mm (cf MI 366/249; cf Heckett 119; Platt p. 295, top). Very fine and extremely rare.
The Heckett specimen, obviously made by the same hand, contained a lacquered portrait of Charles I.
