Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector, copper medal, 1653, in the style of Thomas Simon and signed T.S., but struck in Geneva, draped and armoured bust three-quarters right, OLIV DG RP ANG SCO ET HIB PRO, rev., lion displaying arms of the Protectorate, PAX QVAERITVR BELLO, 34mm (MI 410/46; Eim. 189; M. Lessen, BNJ 1979, p.95, copy 1; Platt I, p. 340). Very fine.
