Louis XIV, naval action off Beachy Head [Bévéziers], silvered-bronze medal, 1690, by Henri Roussel, armoured bust of Louis to right, hair long, rev., Louis enthroned in pavilion gives instructions to Victory who holds palm branch and three arrows, VICTORIA OBSEQVENS, further legend in exergue, 73mm (MI 711/124; MH 109) The silver a little discoloured, die flaw on reverse, about extremely fine.
