A set of twelve silver gaming counters engraved with historical figures, c.1690-1700, each with portrait bust, three-quarters left or right and within leaf border, some identified, Anne Boleyn (?), Philip Sidney, James I, Francis Bacon, Prince Rupert, Charles II (?), Catherine of Braganza, James II (?), William III (?) and Queen Mary (?); others (2), reverses show a name, arms or crest, each approx.. 34.5mm. Very fine, unusual and decorative. (12)
