A Victorian brass and gilt metal mounted coromandel toilet box, with a lift up cover which operates two swing-out drawers and a frontal flap, the interior fitted with eight assorted mounted cut glass boxes/ bottles, three mounts (lacking the glass bodies), an ivory hand mirror, two ivory dental mirrors, a lift-out tray with six mother of pearl mounted steel tools, a steel hook, glove hook, pair of scissors, a steel seal, a toothpick and a lead box both by Sampson Mordan, a medicine spoon, by H. Hyams, London 1879, the cover set with a mirror, the glass mounts, by Messrs Betjemann, London 1877. The box retailled by "Fisher, 188 Strand" complete with key. 13.5 x 8 x 10in (34.2 x 20 x 25.5cm).
