A pair of graduated George III silver tea caddies,
by Peter Gillois, London 1770,
bombe rectangular form, embossed foliate and scroll decoration, gadroon borders, domed hinged covers with flower finials and gadroon borders, on four pierced pad feet with a lower pierced apron, engraved with a crest and armorial, the larger caddy possibly originally for sugar, height 14.5cm, width 7.8cm and 6.5cm, approx. weight 25oz.
