A George III silver-gilt swing-handled sugar basket

A George III silver-gilt swing-handled sugar basket, unmarked, circa 1770, circular form, wire-work body applied with a bird and foliate decoration, rope work border, with a blue glass liner, engraved with a crest, height 7.2cm, approx. weight 2.5oz. The crest is that recorded for numerous families including: Averill, Clare, Gordon, Hunter, Maxwell and Parker.
