The sons of Col. Henry T. Finlay of Corkagh, Clondalkin, Co. Dublin, Robert Alexander was killed on 9 May, 1915, aged 22, and is remembered on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium, where more than 11,000 servicemen of the United Kingdom and South Africa are commemorated. George Guy was killed on 14 July, 1916, aged 26 and is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial in France, where over 14,000 casualties are commemorated.
