The Silver Prize Medals awarded to the respected French Symbolist painter, Edgard Maxence (1871-1954), awarded by the des Beaux Arts, designed by J. E. Gatteaux, and each showing three figures of the Arts and legend reverses, suitably engraved:- Peintre Grand Figure Peinte, Premier M 1894-95, 57mm; Peintre Esquisse Peinte un degree, 1891-92, Seconde M 50mm; others (2), both 41mm, Peinture Arch 1891-92, and Peinture Esquisse Peinte, 1893-94. Very fine and toned. (4)
