A silvered-bronze art-deco plaquette , the rectangular plaquette with arched top, issued for the International Exhibition of Art, Bueno-Aires, 1911, to commemorate the centenary of the Republic, by Ernesto de la Carcova, a winged Fame stands by the seated figure of the Republic, rev . a naked girl seated in a 'window' etches a design onto a pot, 89 x 67mm, in fitted velvet-lined green leather case of issue. Extremely fine . Although Argentinian, de la Carcova was working in Paris at the time that he made this plaquette.
