A Good Great War Double M.C. group of 11 Orders, Decorations and Medals awarded to Brigadier Matthew Carr, Royal Scots, late Scots Fusiliers and formerly London Regiment, whose Army career started as a Private and was to span both World Wars. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, C.B.E. (Military) Commander's 2nd type neck badge, gilt and enamel, with neck cravat, in Garrard, London, case of issue, extremely fine ; Military Cross, G.V.R., reverse blank, with Bar for second award; 1914 Star, with clasp (1591 Pte. M. Carr. Lond: R.); War and Victory Medals (Captain), latter with Oak Leaf for MID; 1939-1945 Star; Italy Star; Defence and War Medals, latter with Oak Leaf for MID; Coronation 1937, George VI; France, Croix de Guerre, with Oak Leaf; U.S.A., Legion of Merit, Officer's Badge, all but first mounted for wearing. Very fine and better . (11) Together with a complete set of Dress Miniatures, including C.B.E., mounted for wearing; and Legion of Merit "button".
