A George IV silver mounted court sword, with an etched steel blade and a mounted, velvet covered scabbard, the hilt with a wire grip inscribed "Hamlet-Jeweller to his majest", maker's mark "GT" possibly by George Taylor, London 1821 *, 37.75in (96cm) long. * Perhaps these swords were issued to certain officers or courtiers at King George IV's Coronation at Westminster Abbey on 19 July 1821.
