A late 19th century early 20th century Japanese mixed metals cigarette case, of plain oblong form on shallow bracket feet, the cover decorated with prunus and pheasants in five colour detail against a gun metal ground, incised character mark and sponsor's mark of Alfred Dunhill, the base inscribed "ALFRED DUNHILL PARIS FABRIQUE AU JAPON MET DIV", rosewood linen, c.1900, 6in (15.25cm) wide.
