George III, gold "Military" Guinea, 1813, laureate head right, rev . crowned arms within Garter (MCE 404; S. 3730). Extremely fine. Designed by Nathaniel Marchant, the coin earned its name as it was inteded to be used to pay the troops embarking for the napoleonic Wars.
