We are delighted to present our two-day Silver & Objects of Vertu sale taking place on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st October.
Day two of the sale begins with a lovely collection of wine labels (lots 445-457) followed by some fascinating lots of vertu, one with a very endearing back story about a dog saving lives when he warned the family of a fire in the house (lot 475).
Also included in day two is a private collection of early spoons as consisting of Trefid and Dog-nose spoons. Then there are further spoons including Seal-top and Puritan spoons.
Further into the day is a diverse private collection of modern silver (lots 644-675) leading into a range of fantastic modern artists, including, Hiroshi Suzuki and Stuart Devlin.
The day concludes with two remarkable pieces; a fine George IV silver-gilt ewer by John Bridge and a George I silver beer jug.
