A George IV silver teapot,
by John Houle, London 1823,
circular bellied form, embossed and chased with putti holding grapes, and foliate scroll decoration on a matted background, the reverse with three putti in a boat, leaf capped spout, the domed hinged cover with a flower finial, the scroll handle issuing form a socket modelled as a wild boar's head, on a circular foot, length handle to spout 29cm, approx. weight 30.5oz.
