A Victorian silver tape measure

A Victorian silver tape measure, by James Chesterman and Co, Sheffield 1878, plain circular form, engraved with a crest, diameter 3.7cm. **The crest is that of George Henry, 5th Earl Cadogan, of Chelsea House, Cadogan Place, London. Born in 1840 he served as M.P for Bath, and, after succession to the Lords in 1873 Lord Cadogan served in the government as Under Secretary for War and then the Colonies before becoming Lord Privy Seal and Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.
