A Victorian silver cream jug, by Thomas Smily, London 1876, embossed with a money collector and fruiting vine, gilt interior, height 14cm, approx. weight 6oz, plus a Prattware miser jug, decorated with a similar scene to the jug, each side moulded and coloured, c.1800. (2) The image of The Miser is believed to be adapted from a painting by David Teniers the younger.
