We are thrilled to present our two-day Silver, Gold & Objects of Vertu sale taking place on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd of October.
Day one of the sale features a range of wonderful collections starting with a Private Collection of Arts & Crafts and Post War Silver, Part II (lots 1-150), featuring designers such as Graham Watling, Robert Welch, Sarah Jones, Leslie Durbin, Christopher Lawrence, Gerald Benney, Michael Bolton, A.E. Jones, Grant MacDonald, George Hart, Wally Gilbert and Graham Stewart.
Also included in day one is The Michael Baggott Collection, Part II (lots 260-391), encompassing some early spoons and a wide selection of York silver. There will also be items from the Workshop of Stuart Devlin sold by his widow, Mrs. Carole Devlin (lots 217-251), which include 'The Twelve Days of Christmas', a set of twelve modern silver, silver-gilt and enamel surprise boxes, by Stuart Devlin, London 1970-1981, limited edition number 3/100.
Elsewhere in the auction, there is a Private Collection of Georg Jensen (lots 252-259), which would look great on a festive table.
The standout items of this day are a pair of William III silver reliquary caskets, by Anthony Nelme, London 1701 (lot 449) and a pair of George III sauce tureens, by Paul Storr, London 1810 (lot 447).
