A George III provincial silver volunteer officer's shoulder-belt plate,
by Hampston and Prince, York 1793,
oval form, engraved with the initials 'HV', below a crown, and inscribed 'Ready to Serve our Country' above a thistle and rose, probably for the Halifax volunteers, length 8cm, approx. weight 1.5oz.
