A George IV silver coursing trophy tankard,
by S. Younge and Co., Sheffield 1826,
baluster form, embossed foliate scroll decoration, on a matted background, hinged cover, fluted thumbpiece, engraved with an armorial and 'Louth Coursing meeting, October 1826', the reverse inscribed 'This tankard was won by Mr Best's red Bitch Madge', height 23cm, approx. weight 35oz.
